September 27, 2006 (Washington, DC) - C2 Paints is making its second encore performance as the Official Paint Sponsor at the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) Decorators' Show House. When the doors to the Show House open next month, visitors will be inspired by the rich, seductive colors of C2, which appear in virtually every room in the Show House. Over 90% of the participating interior designers elected to roll C2 onto the walls of their respective design spaces. Four independent paint dealers supplied complimentary C2 paint to the Show House designers: Alexandria Paint Company of Alexandria, Va.; Arlington Paint & Decorating Company, Arlington, Va.; Luu Color Center, Rockville, Md.; and Monarch Paint and Wallcovering Company of Chevy Chase in the District of Columbia. The 2006 NSO Decorators' Show House is open to the public October 8 through November 5 at 8909 Harvest Square Court in Potomac, Maryland.
"We are delighted by the Show House designers' response," says Bill Thornton, owner of Alexandria Paint Company. "It is a testament to the superior quality and beautiful colors of C2."
Introduced five years ago, C2 was immediately embraced by interior designers, architects, contractors and homeowners for its rich, vibrant colors, its superior performing paints and its advanced color tools. While most paint makers use just 12 colorants, all C2 colors are created with a sophisticated 16-colorant European tinting system. These four additional pigments enable C2 to create colors high in strength and opacity, giving C2 the best hiding power in the industry. By mixing four to seven pigments per color, instead of the standard three, C2 achieves hues of unsurpassed depth and complexity.
C2 was the first coatings company in North America to introduce an oversized paint sample, the 18" x 24" Ultimate Paint Chip, made with real paint - not the industry standard printer's inks or lacquers. In fact, all of C2's color tools are made from C2 paint - fan decks, generously-sized take-home chips and the Ultimate Paint Chips.

"The Coatings Alliance is very pleased that it can assist the Women's Committee in their support of the educational and community outreach programs of the National Symphony Orchestra," says Thornton. "The tireless efforts of these volunteers and designers ensure that symphonic music will continue to be shared with future generations."
The Coatings Alliance is a group of independent paint retailers that create, supply and sell their own brand of ultra-premium paint - C2 Collections of Color. The Coatings Alliance, formed in 1998 in response to the rapid consolidation of paint manufacturers and suppliers, is the first and only cooperative in the coatings field. With decades of industry expertise, The Coatings Alliance founders created a unique business model that made every retailer-member an owner of the company. Every member enjoys profit-sharing opportunities and roles in directing and influencing the company's operations. Since its founding, The Coatings Alliance has grown to represent 48 members with a total of 70 storefronts in the U.S. and Canada.
